Today is neither the beginning nor the end of the world
Today is neither the beginning nor the end of the world
So many joys and sorrows lie hidden behind the curtain
If you are a traveler of the path, do not grieve for distance and delay
You know that arriving is the art of time’s steps
Water that rests is soon consumed by the earth
That river becomes the sea which flows continuously
Perhaps one arrow may strike its mark
Among the many arrows in this ancient bow
From your face, time taught me detachment
That is why these eyes shed blood and tears
O mountain, today you heard my cry
There is a pain in this chest that is twin to the world
Of justice and kindness they spoke much, yet did nothing
Lord, how vast the distance between hand and tongue
Blood drips from the eyes in this corner of patience
This patience I endure is the squeezing of the soul
Do not stray from the path, O Shadow, for that precious jewel
Is a treasure found beneath the steps of wayfarers
