About the program
This Python program reads two numbers a and x from the user and computes the expression √|x − a|^11.
It uses abs for the absolute value, ** for the power and math.sqrt for the square root.
Python code:
import math
def compute_expression(a: float, x: float) -> float:
value = abs(x - a) ** 11
result = math.sqrt(value)
return result
# Read the input from the user
a = float(input("Enter a: "))
x = float(input("Enter x: "))
output = compute_expression(a, x)
print(f"The value of √|x − a|^11 is: {output:.4f}")Sample output (input: a = 2, x = 5):
The value of √|x − a|^11 is: 420.8883How it works:
- The numbers a and x are read from the user
- Their difference is taken and its absolute value computed
- The value is raised to the power of 11
- Then its square root is computed
- The final result is printed with four decimal places
