1. Introduction to LiteSpeed Web Server
LiteSpeed Web Server is a drop‑in replacement for Apache that reads Apache configuration files directly and supports .htaccess and mod_security rules. You can purchase a LiteSpeed license through the cPanel Store inside WHM.
Important Notes:
LiteSpeeduses thelsphpbinary and does not use the system PHP‑FPM in MultiPHP Manager.- Hosting providers can disable the LiteSpeed banner in Manage2.
- LiteSpeed is not compatible with the
mod_statusApache module. WHM’s Apache Status interface will no longer function after installation. - LiteSpeed is not compatible with
NGINX With Reverse Proxy. - After purchase, the system automatically replaces Apache with LiteSpeed on ports 80 and 443.
2. Choosing a LiteSpeed License Tier
WebPros offers two LiteSpeed license tiers:
LiteSpeed 8GB— 8GB RAM limit and one worker processLiteSpeed Unlimited— Unlimited RAM and three worker processes
RAM Limit:
If your server has more than 8GB of RAM, you must use the Unlimited license.
Worker Processes:
Each worker runs one LiteSpeed process. More workers allow higher CPU usage and performance.
3. Purchase a License from WHM
Step 1: Log in to WHM
Log in as the root user or a reseller with root‑level privileges.
Step 2: Open EasyApache 4
Navigate to:
WHM » Home » Software » EasyApache 4
The LiteSpeed banner will appear at the top of the interface.
Step 3: Select the Appropriate License
8GB License— For Cloud servers with less than 8GB RAMUnlimited License— For Metal servers or Cloud servers with more than 8GB RAM
Important:
If the LiteSpeed banner does not appear, one of the following may apply:
- You already own a LiteSpeed license.
- LiteSpeed is already installed.
- Your hosting provider disabled LiteSpeed purchases.
Step 4: Log in to the cPanel Store
If already logged in, verify your account and click Allow Access.
Step 5: Complete the Purchase
Only monthly licenses are available through WHM. The system automatically detects the correct IP address.
Review your order, accept the agreements, and click Complete Order.
After Purchase:
- A confirmation message appears.
- You receive an invoice email.
- If issues occur, an error message will appear.
4. Installing LiteSpeed Web Server
After purchase, the server automatically downloads and installs LiteSpeed Web Server. The installation interface displays progress and shows the administrator username and password.
Important:
You must save this username and password. They are required to access the LiteSpeed Web Console.
After installation, click Continue to LiteSpeed Plugin to access:

5. Purchase from the cPanel Store
Step 1: Log in
Go to:
Solutions » Extensions
Step 2: Add LiteSpeed to Your Cart

Step 3: Complete the Purchase
Important: Monthly licenses require a stored primary credit card.
